Tecglass announced that it will establish a new business unit in the U.S. to expand its commercial and logistical services. Officials say the company will base itself in Advanced Glass Technologies’ existing facilities in Downingtown, Pa.
The move enables Tecglass to operate and service North American customers directly. This comes as Tecglass ends its contractual relationship with IGE Glass Technologies, which represented Tecglass and Fenzi Group’s digital ceramic printing equipment in North America.
As a result of the contract termination, Tecglass officials say all commercial relationships will be established directly between Tecglass and the end customer to “continue improving sales strategies and present customers with more competitive projects by having the ability to operate directly in the U.S.”
Tecglass’ North America area manager, Gustavo Lázara, will remain responsible for market support.
