NSG Group has debuted a new 750kW photovoltaic (PV) solar system at its Aken facility in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The system features 1,500 PV modules on the roof of the facility as well as throughout the grounds, which officials say will provide 650,000kWh, or about 10% of the annual consumption of the plant.

The updated system means that all of NSG’s plants and units in Germany are now powered by 100% green electricity. Officials say the investment will “sustainably reduce energy costs and further contribute to the site’s climate-neutral production and the Group’s carbon neutrality goal.”

Additionally, officials provided a look at the Group’s solar array projects that are in operation. This includes the Group’s research and development center in Northwood, Ohio, European Technical Center in Lathom, United Kingdom, and Float and Advanced assembly facility in Rossford, Ohio.
