Walter Wells has joined Giroux Glass Inc. as safety director. Wells will be based in Los Angeles and will oversee the safety operations of all projects in progress throughout Arizona, Nevada and Southern California.
Wells joined Giroux Glass in May 2023, following time at A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, where he served as safety and risk manager.
“Our company culture embraces continuous improvement–on all topics–but especially for safety. We’re excited to have Walter look into enhancements to our current policies and procedures,” says Marty McKinley, vice president of Arizona operations. “Having him oversee all locations will ensure that we implement the same procedures consistently, in every market, and on every project.”
In addition to his experience as a safety manager, Wells holds various industry certifications, including Construction Health and Safety Technician, Safety Trained Supervisor Construction, and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist, among others issued by Federal Emergency Management Agency and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
