Deceuninck NA Earns GreenCircle Recertification

Deceuninck North America has earned recertification from GreenCircle Certified, a third-party verifier that provides independent evaluations of sustainable products and operations. Officials say that Deceuninck’s certifications make it the only window lineal provider certified by GreenCircle.

GreenCircle evaluated Deceuninck’s PVC window lineals and manufacturing operations in Monroe, Ohio, to verify sources of recycled materials and identify the degree of recycled content within its supply chain. The company’s claims were independently verified to adhere to ISO 14021, Definition of Recycled Content, and the FTC Green Guides. GreenCircle also analyzed the life cycle of Deceuninck’s PVC window lineals and verified the products as a “closed loop” according to CFR 261.4(a)(8). Company officials say evaluations apply to all its primary window extrusions, including colonial white, sandstone and clay colors.

“Certification from a third party validates our claims of the recycled content in our window lineals and of our sustainability mission overall,” says Joren Knockaert, president and CEO of Deceuninck North America. “Our customers rely on us to provide eco-friendly products for residential and commercial construction throughout the continent, and GreenCircle certification serves as an essential proof point on this front.”

Deceuninck’s recycling program collects end cuts and other scraps from fabricator partners and reintroduces the content into its manufacturing process. By doing so, the organization says it reclaims unused products that would otherwise end up in the waste stream.

The latest GreenCircle certifications are in effect through April 2024.
