Alumicor’s architectural representative Jennie Lamoureux was elected director of the Devis de Construction Canada-Construction Specifications Canada Montréal section (DCC-CSC). She is the first woman to hold the position. Lamoureux previously served as chair of CSC-DCC Montréal.
In her role, Lamoureux assists Canadian architectural design professionals with the evaluation, selection and specification of aluminum-framed fenestration systems for commercial building envelopes. She also helps support project goals for performance, appearance, sustainability, on-time scheduling and long-term value.
“I feel lucky to have the support and confidence of Alumicor, but also of the members of CSC in this adventure,” says Lamoureux. “Getting involved in associations such as CSC are opportunities to learn about our industry and make us better people in many ways.”
In addition to her volunteer roles with DCC-CSC, Lamoureux is an active member of the Association de Vitrerie et Fenestration du Québec (AVFQ, Quebec Glazing and Fenestration Association) and co-chairs the Commercial Technical Committee–Commercial Sector. As a Fenestration Glazing and Industry Alliance member, she also represents Alumicor, Tubelite and Apogee Enterprises Inc.
