SCHOTT Adds New Member to Board of Management

Andrea Frenzel has joined SCHOTT AG as the newest member of its Board of Management.

Andrea Frenzel has joined SCHOTT AG as the newest member of its Board of Management, the company announced. Frenzel will be responsible for three business units and additional corporate functions. She succeeds Hermann Ditz, who is retiring.

Frenzel is currently the president of the Intermediates Operating Division at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Frenzel, a successful, internationally experienced manager, join our company,” says Michael Bolle, chairman of the Supervisory Board of SCHOTT AG. “Mr. Ditz has performed outstanding work for SCHOTT. We thank him for his many years of successful commitment and wish him all the best for his retirement.”

Frenzel began her professional career in 1997 at BASF AG. She held several positions at BASF, including vice president of Business Management Pigments North America for the BASF Corp. She studied chemistry at the University of Göttingen, receiving her diploma and, afterward, her Doctorate Degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1995.
