Permasteelisa Group Names Liam Cummins CEO

Permasteelisa Group has named Liam Cummins its new CEO, effective Jan. 23, 2023. Cummins replaces Klaus Lother, who has been with the Group for more than 30 years. Lother will remain as a non-executive director of the Group’s holding company.

Cummins arrives from Kier Construction, where he was the company’s managing director. Prior to his time at Kier, Cummins spent more than 16 years at Laing O’Rourke as a senior executive. He has led projects and businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

“We are delighted to have Liam at the helm of Permasteelisa, further deepening our expertise in construction services and bringing strong leadership to underpin our ambitions for the business,” says Peter Bacon, chairman of Permasteelisa S.p.A.

Permasteelisa states that Cummins is an accomplished international industry leader recognized for “building strong operational and customer-centric businesses with a proven ability to create effective and collaborative leadership teams.”

“Permasteelisa has a global footprint with strong capabilities across engineering, manufacturing and delivery,” says Cummins. “I am looking forward to joining this talented team with a continued focus on operational excellence and innovation. I can’t wait to get started and hope to bring my experience in our core markets to lead Permasteelisa into the future.”
