Saint-Gobain to Acquire Impac

Saint-Gobain has entered into an agreement to acquire IMPAC, a construction chemicals solutions group in Mexico. IMPAC recorded sales of close to €50 million in 2020. It operates one plant in Monterrey and employs about 630 people.

In Mexico, Saint-Gobain employs 7,500 people and has 11 manufacturing sites. The acquisition allows Saint-Gobain to maintain its position on the Mexican market by being the first actor to offer a range of solutions for light and sustainable construction in the country, according to a press release.

The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Mexican competition authority and is expected in the coming months, according to the press release.
