Oahu Metal & Glazing LLC (OMG) of Honolulu has achieved North American Contractor Certification (NACC), becoming Hawaii’s first glazing contractor to earn the credential.
“I am very proud of my team’s participation in achieving the NACC accreditation,” said OMG owner Christopher Knitter. “Without a doubt, the tools we’ve implemented will allow our company to achieve constant improvement in our means and methods.”
OMG operations manager Alvida Surpia-Jones served as the primary contact and provided oversight during certification, working with Knitter and other OMG employees and with NACC administrators.
“We put a lot of effort into becoming Hawaii’s first certified contractor,” said Surpia-Jones. “Going through the certification allowed us to put our standard operating processes on paper and get everyone on the same page. We look forward to promoting our certification to customers, contractors, architects and consultants.”
Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of six operational categories based on the company’s focus of work. OMG earned NACC in five categories: interior and entry systems, building envelope low-rise, building envelope high-rise, active glass and service work.
OMG is the 41st glazing contractor in North America to attain the credential.
