Toronto-based Metropolitan Glass Ltd. has purchased a Fox 1500×3200 tempering furnace from Mappi. According to the company, the furnace was selected because it combines glass quality, temperature control and optimization of energy consumption, with the flexibility of a machine designed to be user friendly. The furnace also includes Siemens’ MindSphere full integration and the industry 4.0 operating system.
