W&W Glass’ Lalonde Wins First Week of USGlass Football Challenge

Chris Lalonde of W&W Glass was the Week 1 winner of the USGlass Weekly Football Football Pick’em Challenge. Lalonde, a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, picked 12 of the weekend’s 16 games correctly.

Kevin Frisone of Vetrotech was also 12-for-16 on the weekend, but Lalonde won the tiebreaker—picking the closer cumulative score for the final game of the week. Lalonde currently holds the lead for the overall season title and will receive a $50 gift card for his single-week victory.

[Note to participants: Don’t forget to make your Week 2 picks]

W&W Glass is a family owned business with a 70-year history in the metal and glass industry. The company is one of the largest metal and glass contractors in the New York metropolitan area and, according to W&W, is the largest supplier of structural glass systems in the country (as the exclusive distributor of the Pilkington Planar System throughout North America).

Heading into the fourth quarter of a busy year, some of the large-scale projects W&W is currently wrapping up in New York are the 400 Park Avenue South condominium, which features 250,000 square-feet of custom unitized curtainwall, as well as the Riverside South Building K1, which features a hybrid unitized curtainwall with natural limestone and glass panels.

A couple projects the company has scheduled for next year are the NYU Langone Medical Center Science building and the Stony Brook University Medical and Research Translation building.
