View Inc. announced that Walt Lifsey, an operations executive with a diverse industrial background, has joined the company as its chief operations officer. According to the announcement, Lifsey brings extensive experience in transitioning new products into high volume manufacturing and developing their supporting systems and supply chains.

Walt’s experience in ramping technology products and managing complex global operations will help assure we continue our product leadership and successfully serve our customers.”
Lifsey has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor, automotive, industrial and defense industries, according to the release. Most recently, he served as the COO of Atmel Corporation, where he led the global operational restructuring that supported the successful turn-around of the company. Prior to joining Atmel, Lifsey was executive vice president of operations at International Rectifier Corporation, director of global marketing and planning for AMP Inc., and held operational and financial management positions at TRW Corporation. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
