California Glass Company Worker Killed in Plant Incident

A worker at Thermal Sun Glass Products in Santa Rosa, Calif., was killed Friday in an accident at the company’s plant, according to reports from the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s office.

According to the report, the employee, a 21-year-old old male, was moving multiple sheets of glass (between five and seven), weighing approximately100 pounds per sheet, on a mobile A-frame with rollers.

“It appears that during the movement of the glass sheets, the A-frame tipped, causing the glass sheets to dislodge and topple the employee,” according to a statement from police.

The employee passed away in the incident, according to the report. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration currently is investigating.

At press time, representatives from Thermal Sun Glass Products had not yet responded to requests for comment.
