The 2013 Building Envelope Contractors (BEC) Conference will be held March 17-19 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The annual event, sponsored by the Glass Association of North America (GANA), draws glazing contractors around the U.S. for several days of informative seminars and meetings.
This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Scott Thomsen, president of the global flat glass group of Guardian Industries, who will discuss the “State of the Glass and Glazing Industry.”
Additionally, David Spooner of Squire Sanders will hold a session titled “New Tariffs on Chinese Curtainwall.” He will discuss the amount of the tariffs, how high they’re expected to go and how U.S. customs will enforce the tariffs, along with what the tariffs will mean to glazing contractors this year and next.
