PPG Industries has announced that company officials expect its previously announced separation of its commodity chemicals business and its merger with a subsidiary of Georgia Gulf Corp. to be completed later today. Upon the completion of the merger, the combined company formed by uniting Georgia Gulf with PPG’s commodity chemicals business will be named Axiall Corp.
PPG’s commodity chemicals business currently is operating as Eagle Spinco Inc., a subsidiary holding company.
