New Trulite CEO Announced

Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions LLC has a new CEO, Paul Schmitz. Schmitz succeeds Jeff Leone, who was named CEO of Arch Aluminum in July 2010, and moved into the role of president and CEO of Trulite when Arch, United Glass Corp. and ACI Glass Products Inc. were integrated into one company under the ownership of private equity firm Sun Capital Partners.

“The Board wishes to thank Jeff for his numerous contributions and making progress toward becoming the industry leading glass and aluminum provider,” write Trulite officials in a release issued late today. Leone’s plans had not been disclosed at press time.

Most recently,  Schmitz led ThermaSys Corp., a manufacturer of highly engineered copper, brass and aluminum heat exchanger components and assemblies. ThermaSys Corp. also was a Sun Capital affiliate company until January 2012, when it was sold to Wellspring Capital Management LLC.

Schmitz holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.

“Paul’s accomplishments as an executive along with his management experience give him invaluable perspective. He is a proven leader and we are pleased to welcome him to the Trulite team,” says Mike Alger, group CFO at Sun Capital.

“I’m excited to join Trulite and look forward to the opportunity of growing the business through achievement of real operational excellence,” adds Schmitz.
