GlassCon Global, a brand-new conference dedicated to driving innovation in glass technology, has opened its call for papers for its 2014 event. Organized by the Glass Association of North America (GANA) and FCA International, GlassCon Global will be held in Philadelphia, July 7-10. The conference will take place at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
GlassCon Global was designed to provide researchers with the opportunity to share ideas, visions and new technologies with industry professionals and experts from all aspects of glass and glazing in the construction industry, according to event organizers. Details on how to submit a paper for the event can be found at www.glassconglobal.com.
“GlassCon Global is modeled after the very successful Glass Performance Days conference in Finland,” says Ed Zaucha, CEO of APG International and president of GlassCon Global. “It is going to have a very positive impact on the glass industry through its technical presentations on innovative glass technology.”
A variety of topics will be discussed during the conference. These include, but are not limited to: architectural challenges and solutions, new technologies and innovations, structural engineering case studies, new products and applications, energy performance in buildings, glass coating technology and applications, product and process case studies, and business opportunities and economic outlook. All paper abstracts will be reviewed by the GlassCon Global Scientific Committee, which is comprised of glass experts throughout North America and Europe.
