NSA Announces Results of the 2013 NSA Design Awards

The National Sunroom Association (NSA) announced the winners and finalists of the 2013 NSA Design Awards at the association’s recent annual meeting in New Orleans. The 2013 Design Awards mark the ninth anniversary of the competition. The following are the recipients of the 2013 Design Awards:

  • Existing or Wood Roof Sunrooms Under $20,000, Sunquest Inc., Four Seasons Sunrooms, Cummins home;
  • Existing or Wood Roof Sunrooms $20,000 – $35,000, Joyce Factory Direct, Joyce Manufacturing Inc., Carlton home;
  • Existing or Wood Roof Sunrooms Over $50,000, Katmar Development Corp., Solar Innovations Inc.;
  • Laminated Roof Panel Sunrooms Under $20,000, Chesapeake Home Improvement, Joyce Manufacturing Inc., Gordon home;
  • Laminated Roof Panel Sunrooms $20,000 – $35,000, Pioneer Window and Door Mfg. Ltd., Four Seasons Sunrooms, Smith home;
  • Laminated Roof Panel Sunrooms $35,000 – $50,000, Champion of San Antonio, Champion Enclosure Suppliers, Tavitas home;
  • Laminated Roof Panel Sunrooms Over $50,000, Joyce Factory Direct, Joyce Manufacturing Inc., Bluhm home;
  • Glazed Roof Sunrooms Under $20,000, McMaken Custom Sunrooms Inc., Four Seasons Solar Products LLC, Scott home;
  • Glazed Roof Sunrooms $20,000 – $35,000, McMaken Custom Sunrooms Inc., Four Seasons Solar Products LLC, Cummins home;
  • Glazed Roof Sunrooms $35,000 – $50,000, Solar Innovations Inc., private home; and
  • Glazed Roof Sunrooms Over $50,000, McMaken Custom Sunrooms Inc., Four Seasons Solar Products LLC, Kuhn home.

The National Sunroom Association Design Awards recognize excellence in the design and installation of sunrooms, solariums and patio rooms. More than 35 entries for sunrooms, solariums and patio rooms constructed in 2012 were submitted for this competition. All entries were judged on the basis of (1) aesthetic appeal; (2) how well the sunroom, patio room or solarium enhances the architecture and natural surroundings of the home or commercial setting; and (3) interior appeal and functionality.
